Pediatric ER RN Travel Contract

Overview

  • Location: Chicago, Illinois
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 10 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Schedule notes: Rotating weekends; start date may change if Epic training is needed
  • Local candidates: Accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Illinois
  • Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room (1 year of experience)
  • Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 6 months of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated monthly
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated monthly
  • State license verification within 30 days of start
  • 14-plate Ishihara color blindness test
  • Unit-specific competency exam within 3 years of start, then every 3 years
  • Core Part I, Core Part II, Core Part III, and OSHA Mandatory annually
  • Badge photo submitted 2 weeks before start
  • Signed fingernail policy before start
  • Compliance checklist submission
  • Online training modules before orientation
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • N95 mask fit testing within 1 year of start
  • Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB screening within required timeframe
  • TB questionnaire annually
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • 2 professional references, including 1 direct supervisor
  • Employment application
  • Unit-specific skills checklist

Notes

  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam is required for RNs in Pediatrics.
