PCU Registered Nurse
Role
- Acute Care Medicine PCU Unit
- Travel/Contract
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
- 36 hours per week
- Locals allowed at the same rate
- One holiday off per winter season may be allowed; do not submit if requesting more than one holiday
Unit Details
- 1:4 patient ratio
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
- ACLS
- BLS
- 2 references required
- Complete application/resume required
Preferred Qualifications
- None stated
Additional Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- TB screening required
- Titers required for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Drug testing within 60 days of start
- Flu vaccine or exemption required for all pre-starts after 9/1
- Color blind testing
- Abuse reporting competency
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable for RNs and LVNs/LPNs
- Competency exam
- Orientation modules must be completed during the first week of orientation
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
- Fingerprinting and CPS-related requirements apply based on facility/unit rules and may be allowed to pend with proof of submission on file
