Medical Surgical Nurse

Location

Battle Creek, Michigan

Job Type

Travel/Contract

Schedule

Night shift
3x12 hours
36 or 48 hours per week available
Every other weekend

Assignment Length

26 weeks

Start / Orientation

ASAP start desired
Must be available for the first 2 weeks of the assignment for orientation

Unit Details

Med Surg
May float to other Med Surg units
May be assigned to units with mixed medical, orthopedic/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical patients
Typical night staffing ratio is 1:5–6
Ratios may flex to 1:7–8 with LPN support

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
Med Surg experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association

Preferences

2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred

Other Job Notes

Must be willing to work with a variety of staff, including RNs, LPNs, and techs
Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed or approved at this time
