Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Newport News, Virginia
• Acute care hospital setting
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Clinical Setting

• May cover ICU, ED, medical-surgical, and NICU areas if experienced
• Level II trauma center

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
• Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military or American Safety & Health Institute
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military or American Safety & Health Institute
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS
• NRP if NICU experience is present

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references
• Application/resume required
• Skills checklist required and must be updated annually
• Employment verification required prior to facility start within the last 3 years
• Government-issued photo ID required
• E-Verify required
• Background check required
• Fingerprinting required
• TB screening documentation required
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• Drug screen within the last 12 months
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• COVID vaccine series preferred only
• Confidentiality, dress code, safety, drug-free, scrub color, fingernail, and hand hygiene policies must be reviewed and signed or acknowledged before start
