Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
- Functions as a cardiac stepdown unit with a significant cardiac patient population.
- Located at the Heart Hospital.
- 55 beds on the unit.
- Ratios: 1:4.
- Shift: Night (4x12 hours), 18:30–7:00.
- Option of 36 or 48 hours per week.
- Weekend requirement: as needed, rotating.
- Float requirement: yes.
- On-call requirement: none.
- Block scheduling: case by case.
- First-time travelers accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience).
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year.
- Cardiovascular experience.
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience.
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Drivers License/State ID.
- Education verification.
- State license verification.
- NURSYS verification.
- 7-year work history verification.
- 7-year background check.
- Fingerprinting.
- Clear headshot for badge.
- Physical exam within 12 months of start.
- Fit test within 1 year of start.
- Negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
- TB questionnaire within 90 days of start for positive TB results.
- Adult Tdap within 10 years of start.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season.
