Radiology Didactic Trainer

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract role in San Francisco, California
  • Onsite position
  • 30–40 hours per week
  • Classes begin 09/08/2026
  • Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM

Role Summary

  • Teaches didactic courses in an 18-month radiography program
  • Develops and delivers course content, evaluates student learning, supports curriculum improvement, and contributes to program quality efforts

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field
  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in California
  • ARRT (R)
  • Radiology Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience in a Teaching Hospital setting

Relevant Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of radiographic science, including positioning/procedures, radiation physics and protection, image production, and patient care
  • Knowledge of JRCERT Standards and ARRT content specifications
  • Understanding of adult-learning theory, instructional design, competency-based education, and assessment design
  • Ability to develop course materials, deliver instruction, evaluate student learning, advise students, analyze outcomes data, and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency with standard office software, learning-management systems, and educational technology platforms

Pre-Start Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, with a physician statement of fitness to work
  • Fit mask testing within 1 year of start
  • Drug test within 30 days of start
  • Negative TB screening within 30 days of start
  • Two supervisory references
  • Updated resume covering the last 7 years of work history, with gaps of 30 days or more explained
  • Unit-specific skills checklist
  • Employment application with 7-year work history verification
  • Background check and required verification screenings
  • Current government-issued photo ID or passport matching the professional license
  • Completion of required onboarding documents and training modules before start

Health Documentation

  • Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation is required
  • Hepatitis B documentation is required
  • Tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap documentation is required
  • Flu vaccination or approved declination is required during flu season
  • COVID vaccination is not required, but is strongly recommended

Schedule Notes

  • 30–40 hours per week, with full-time hours available if preferred
  • Class schedule includes Monday through Thursday evening and daytime sessions
