Trauma Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Omaha, Nebraska
• 13-week contract
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 48 hours per week option is listed
• 45-bed trauma medical/surgical unit
• Fast-paced specialty medical/surgical unit caring for trauma patients with acute and chronic needs
• Travelers are first to float and may float frequently to meet hospital staffing needs
• May float within scope, including Bellevue campus and units such as 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, and SOTU

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience in a(n) Academic Medical Center setting
• Trauma experience
• Experience with Epic
• Must be more than 100 miles from the facility

Schedule and Staffing

• Ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Night ratios can occasionally be 1:7
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Up to 2 weeks of RTO permitted

• Pending license is accepted; if not in hand at submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out
• Scrubs are mandatory: Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo on the back
• 100% nicotine-free facility
