Employment Details

Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM with call every 3rd weekend
License Requirement: NC State or Compact License required; locals accepted

Job Description

Seeking a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week contract. The Nurse Manager will discuss details during phone interviews.

Certifications Required

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 3 months for CCU)
BLS - Basic Life Support
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred for Pediatrics and Cath Lab)
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for Labor and Delivery, NICU, Mother/Baby)
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
NIH Stroke Certification - Required for ICU
CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute (preferred for ER)
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - Must score >80%
Competency Exam - Must score >80%

Health Documents Required

Physical Exam - Must be within 1 year of start
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - Required within 1 year of start
Vaccinations - Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines)
Drug Testing - 9 panel drug screen required within 30 days of start
Flu Vaccine - Required from October 1st to April 1st

Background and History Checks

Background Check - Required within 30 days of start, including education verification
EPLS/GSA/SAM - Required within 30 days of start
HHS/OIG - Required within 30 days of start
References - Proof of 2 clinical references required

Additional Information

Candidates must bring hard copies of all health documents on their first day.
Agency job description required.
Initial physical must attest to the ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
