Job Description
- Shifts: 3x12s, Nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Call: No call required
- Floating: Required as needed
- Experience Required: Orthopedic experience required
- BLS Certification: Required
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; first-time travelers are welcome
Unit Information
- 29-bed unit providing care for adult to geriatric orthopedic patients, as well as medical-surgical patients.
- Telemetry monitoring available.
- High volume patient populations include those who have had total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties.
- Moderate volume includes other surgical procedures and inpatient medical patients.
Compliance Requirements
- Mandatory Questionnaire: Candidates must answer specific questions regarding their submission and compliance readiness.
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- EKG exam (Pass/Fail)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Other certifications may be required based on unit specifics.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 30 days of start.
- Background Check: Required within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled for the past 7 years.
Documentation Required
- Employment Application/Resume: Must include 7-year work history.
- References: 2 supervisory references required for clinical positions.
- Education Verification: Primary source verification of required programs or highest degree earned.
Additional Information
- Candidates must complete a Health History Form and attend a Health at Work appointment on their first day.
- Annual skills checklist must be updated within a week of the due date.
- Candidates must provide a government-issued photo ID for badge purposes.
