Job Description
- Perform integrated pre and post-operative critical care nursing functions using the nursing process.
- Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs.
- Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on patient needs.
- Evaluate patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement total patient care.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of SICU experience (required)
- Open Heart training (required)
Certifications
- Active BLS (AHA) certification (required)
- Active ACLS (AHA) certification (required)
Licensure
- Active Michigan RN license (required)
Preferred
- Prior travel assignment history (preferred, but not required)
- Epic EMR experience (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Work history and skills checklist relevant to ICU, current within 1 year (required)
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (required)
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates will not be considered)
Work Environment
- Facility uses Epic EMR system
- Dress code: Navy Blue Scrubs

This is a temporary Registered Nurse position in a critical care setting requiring at least 2 years of SICU experience and open heart training. Active BLS and ACLS certifications and a Michigan RN license are mandatory. Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
