Education & Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Travel nursing experience required (at least one completed contract assignment)
• Experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment preferred

Certifications & Licensure

• New Jersey Nursing License or Compact License
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Note: Pending certifications or certifications expiring within 30 days of submission are NOT accepted

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Weekend shifts: Every other weekend or 2 per month depending on unit needs
• No holiday shifts required
• Return to Office (RTO) requests: No more than 3 days accepted
• No block scheduling or special shift requests allowed

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination
• Orientation includes:

  • Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules (to be completed by Monday start)
  • In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday at various locations (location provided via HealthStream on the day)
  • POCT class attendance required (not during orientation week)
  • Unit-based orientation scheduled by manager
  • In-person ID badge appointment required during orientation (photo submissions not accepted); badge needed for clock-ins
