Contract Length: 14 weeks
Schedule: Evenings only, 36 hours per week (3 PM - 3 AM)
Unit: Emergency Room

Job Description
Seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses to provide patient-centered nursing care following ANA Standards. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation. Must be able to assist with patient lifting, transfers, and transport via wheelchair or stretcher.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Rhode Island
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Proficiency with EPIC Electronic Medical Record system
- COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations required (including bivalent booster or approved medical exemption)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must meet physical requirements for patient handling
Additional Requirements
- Proof of immunizations or positive titers for:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination (titers not accepted)
- Tdap (within last 10 years)
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test within the last year
- Fit testing for N95 masks within one year prior to start
- Background checks including federal, county, national, and statewide with OIG, NSO, GSA/SAM searches (within 6 months of start)
- Fingerprinting completed in Rhode Island within 30 days of start
- Valid driver’s license or state ID
- Completion of skills checklist and specialty competency exams prior to or upon start
