MRI Technician - Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

• Operate GE and Siemens MRI scanners
• Serve both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Work schedule includes evenings and weekends

Required Credentials & Compliance

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required before onboarding (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
• ARRT Certification: Required before onboarding
• Professional License Verification: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted

Health & Immunizations

• Fit Test (N95 Respirator): Required within 365 days of start and updated annually; no religious exemptions
• MMR Vaccine or Immunity Proof: Documentation of measles, mumps, rubella vaccines or immunity blood test required
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions allowed
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start; updated if >6 month break
• Health Statement: Physician-signed statement within 365 days of start; updated if >6 month break
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required
• Hepatitis B Vaccine or Immunity: Strongly preferred but optional
• Tdap Vaccine: Preferred, updated within 10 years
• Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray: Required if applicable (optional)

Background & Professional Checks

• Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start; includes county and international searches if applicable
• Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start; updated if >6 month break
• National Sex Offender Registry Check: Within 30 days prior to start; updated annually
• Exclusion Checks: OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid lists; within 30 days prior to start and annually
• SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check covering last 7 years
• Education Verification: Verified through background check company
• Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city & state
• References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in skillset
