Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

  • Position: Radiology Technologist
  • Specialty: X-Ray Technologist

Required Credentials and Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for onboarding. Acceptable certifications include AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military.
  • ARRT Certification: Required for onboarding.
  • Professional License: Must have primary source verification of professional license/certification within 30 days of start date. MA Conditional Licenses are not accepted.
  • Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state. Required for submission.
  • References: Two recent references required, at least one must be a supervisor or above in the relevant skillset. Required for submission.
  • Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
  • Candidate Submission Coversheet: Required for submission.

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Fit Test (N95 Respirator): Required within 365 days of start date and updated annually. Must be completed on the specified form. No religious exemptions.
  • MMR Vaccine or Immunity Proof: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or two MMR vaccines, or proof of immunity via blood test.
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30). No exemptions allowed. Pharmacy or provider administered flu mist accepted; self-administered not accepted.
  • TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start date. Must be updated if there is a break >6 months.
  • Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
  • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required. Must be completed prior to fit testing and updated if medical status changes.
  • Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred but optional. Record of 3 vaccines or proof of immunity or declination accepted.
  • Tdap Vaccine: Preferred, vaccine within 10 years and updated upon expiration (optional).
  • Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray: Optional if applicable.

Background and Compliance Checks

  • Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break. Includes county and international searches if applicable.
  • Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break.
  • Education Verification: Verified through background check company, must verify highest level of education achieved.
  • SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check, listing addresses/aliases for past 7 years.
  • National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days of start and updated annually.
  • Exclusion Checks: Within 30 days of start and annually. Includes OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid exclusion lists.

Additional Requirements

  • Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions, must be updated if start date changes.

This position requires thorough credentialing, health screenings, and compliance checks to ensure readiness and safety for the healthcare environment.
