Location: New York, NY

Job Description

  • Unit: Pediatric Float Pool covering General Pediatrics, PICU, and Neonatal ICU
  • Start Dates: Weekly start dates available; aiming for mid-October (around 10/13 or 10/20)
  • Shift: 11.5-hour day shifts (7:30 AM - 8:00 PM)
  • Schedule: Rotating 3-4-3-4 schedule
  • Hours per week: Approximately 40.25 hours
  • Call Requirement: None
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Float Requirement: Yes, float to units within acuity level
  • Dress Code: Navy bottom with white top or all white scrubs; shoe color depends on scrub color
  • Flu and COVID vaccination required (no declinations accepted)

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 2 years of PICU experience within the last 3 years (highest required years of experience)
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience
  • Experience in a large academic/teaching hospital setting
  • Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA PALS, AHA NRP
  • EMR experience
  • Must provide 2 references from most recent assignments within the skill set
  • Skills checklist matching required skill set
  • COVID vaccinated prior to start date
  • Willingness to float to appropriate units within skillset

Additional Notes

  • Interviews required: Voice Advantage Interview and Nurse Manager Screening
  • Offers valid for 48 business hours after issuance
  • No call requirement
  • Local travelers receive the same rate as non-local travelers
