Job Opportunity: Med/Surg Nurse - New York, NY
Employment Type: Long Term

Unit: 5 Central MS
Shift: 11.5 hours
Hours per Week: 46 guaranteed (4-4-4-4 or minimum 3-4-3-4 schedule)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: Yes, to areas within acuity
Dress Code: Navy bottom + white top with dark shoes, or all white with white shoes
Vaccination Requirements: Flu and COVID vaccinations required, no declinations allowed
Position Requirements
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience within the last 3 years (higher experience requirement confirmed)
- Prior travel experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Experience in a large academic (teaching) hospital setting required
- New York State RN license in hand
- AHA BLS certification required
- EMR experience required
- Willingness to float to units appropriate for skillset
Contract Length
- 8 weeks
Additional Notes
- Interviews required: Voice Advantage Interview plus Nurse Manager Screening/Interview
- Weekly start dates; 4-6 weeks on average needed to complete compliance
- No call requirement
- Offers valid for 48 business hours after issuance
