Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Home Health (Travel)

Job Details

• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM) with some flexibility depending on census
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday: Possible weekend and holiday call required
• On-call: Weekday call; may be low censused and placed on call with a minimum 2-hour callback requirement
• Patient Load: 20-25 patients weekly, averaging 4-5 visits per day
• Travel: Territory can range from 25 to 60 miles per day, with mileage sometimes exceeding 100 miles
• Mileage Reimbursement: Provided at current government rate

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of home health nursing experience (preferred)
• Prior Travel Experience: Required
• Certifications:

  • BLS
  • Active Michigan and Wisconsin RN licenses
  • Valid Driver's License
  • OASIS certification is a plus
  • AHA or ARC certifications required by employer
• Charting Experience: Proficient with OASIS and Epic EMR systems

Clinical Responsibilities

• OASIS admissions and all time points
• Episode management
• Physician calls and coordination of care
• Timely documentation in EMR
• Clinical competencies including wound care, IV therapy, ports, lab draws, and chronic disease management

Additional Information

• GSA not applicable during orientation week
• Contract includes eligibility for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours
• On-call hours count toward low census hours; call back pay provided if called in
