EEG Technician Travel Opportunity

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (8 hours)
Guaranteed Hours: 16-24 hours per week
Start Date: January 2027


Job Summary

  • Prepare patients and perform Electroencephalograms (EEGs) as ordered by physicians.
  • Assist physicians with EEG procedures including routine EEGs, sleep-deprived EEGs, daytime long-term monitoring, and consults for hospitalized patients.
  • Obtain thorough patient histories.
  • Provide patient education and support/comfort during testing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate services, provide consultation/education, and generate accurate reports.
  • Maintain accurate department documentation and archive patient testing materials.
  • Ensure patient safety and engage personally with patients.
  • Adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
  • Participate in rotating call coverage every other weekend from Friday 4 PM to Monday 7:30 AM; weekend and holiday work as needed due to call.
  • No float requirements.

  • Adult (18-64 years)
  • Geriatric (65+ years)

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (REEGT) certification.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • EEG Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Associate degree or certificate in a relevant field.

Additional Information

  • Scrub color: Any color except those specific to nursing or medical assistant groups.
  • Orientation includes an 8-hour unbillable session.
  • Medical compliance must be started within 48 hours of offer acceptance (24 hours for quick start).
  • Work with a comprehensive Neuroscience Center and Epileptologists.

On-Call and Weekend Requirements

  • Rotating call coverage every other weekend (Friday evening through Monday morning).
