Job Summary

Perform routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab under physician direction. Provide technical and clinical support for procedures including catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temporary pacemaker insertion, and left ventricular assist device insertions. Operate advanced imaging equipment following established protocols and ensure adherence to radiation safety standards.

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• On-call: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and clinical assistance (sterile and non-sterile) during Cath Lab procedures
• Operate imaging equipment for interventional and non-interventional procedures
• Ensure safety and radiation safety compliance
• Perform quality assurance checks on equipment
• Maintain supply inventory for Cath Lab procedures
• Instruct students and residents; serve as preceptor when needed
• Demonstrate knowledge of coding procedures for accurate billing
• Engage in continuous learning through lectures, seminars, and educational readings

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New York
• Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT(R) certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology

• Must comply with Interventional Cardiology departmental on-call policy
