Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week (5 days x 8 hours)
• Rotating weekends every couple of months
• No holidays or on-call required

Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic and screening mammographic examinations on adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients following ACR requirements.
• Assist with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, breast localization, and other radiologic guided procedures within the Breast Center.
• Conduct mammographic imaging for breast needle localization and stereotactic procedures, including setup and cleanup.
• Provide immobilization devices and select appropriate technical factors and equipment for procedures.
• Identify and label patient films accurately.
• Develop exposed x-ray films using processing methods.
• Complete patient requisitions with required documentation.
• Assist with quality control procedures and documentation in compliance with ACR, MQSA, NJ State, and FDA standards.
• Educate patients on breast self-examination (BSE) and provide pre- and post-procedure instructions.
• Prepare cases for imaging, including chart and film organization.
• Compile statistics related to patient follow-ups, breast localizations, biopsies, and ultrasound exams.
• Document pertinent patient information in the Breast Center chart.
• Adapt care to meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations, including communication tailored to developmental, cultural, and sensory considerations.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Required Qualifications

Education and Licenses

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Valid Mammography Technologist license in New Jersey
• Active Diagnostic Radiography License

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• Mammography Technologist experience within the last year

Certifications

• ARRT certification required
