Unit / Setting
- 250-bed hospital
- 12-bed ICU
Required Qualifications
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certificate
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
- 5 years experience preferred as a Credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Adult intubation skill
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years experience as a Credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: 3a-3p or 3p-3a
- Every other weekend
- Will not work alone
- Call when needed
Floating
- No floating
Clinical Duties
- Provides care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes
- Reviews and maintains care plans
- Performs patient evaluations and adjusts care appropriately
- Can provide team approach in delivery of distressed newborn and C-section care
Equipment / Systems
- Epic computerized charting
- Scanning of medication and supply utilization
- Servo ventilators
- BIPAP (v-60, Vision)
- Airvo
- MetNeb
- Neo-Tee
Orientation / Training
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation
- Department-specific training up to 3 weeks
- Required EPIC training by assigned trainer
- Preceptor check-off required before orientation is completed
Additional Notes
- Black scrubs
- Clinicians returning within 12 months of their last worked date are not eligible for non-billable orientation
