Sonographer – Pediatric Echo

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (typically 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Summary

• Perform pediatric echocardiography and fetal imaging studies
• Average of 8 scans/studies per day
• Work primarily inpatient echo on the pediatric unit
• Use Philips EPIQ7 ultrasound equipment
• Utilize EPIC and ISCV for EMR and PACS systems
• Department-specific orientation provided

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

Work Environment & Scheduling

• Day shift, typically 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (some shifts 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
• Monday through Friday schedule
• No weekend, holiday, call, or standby requirements
• Scrubs: Light grey scrubs allowed; no need to purchase new scrubs; children-appropriate scrub tops permitted

Additional Information

• Must have a clean professional history and provide two references
• Quality of work is a high priority for this unit
• No IV starts required
• No radiologist in-house or Registered Radiology Assistants involved
• Travel teams must be submitted together (relevant for recruiters)
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Previous permanent candidates must have been gone for 2 years before reapplying
• Previous travelers must have been gone for 2 years after completing a full year on assignment here
