Radiation Therapist - Washington, Silverdale

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, Monday - Friday
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Schedule Options:

  • 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Warmup shift (if/when trained) 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Weekend, Holiday, Call, or Standby Requirements: None
• Orientation:

  • 1 day Epic training
  • 1-2 weeks hands-on training on the machine with therapists
• Dress Code: Solid colored scrubs (no specific color)

Facility & Equipment

• 4 exam rooms
• 2 TrueBeam Linear Accelerators
• 1 GE CT Scanner
• Average patients per day: 25-35
• Average providers in clinic per day: 1
• Common patient diagnoses: All cancer types

Job Duties

• Prepare room and equipment, including supplies and setup devices
• Deliver prescribed radiation treatments accurately, including verification of treatment doses, patient positioning, monitoring, imaging, and treatment delivery
• Patient education
• Document patient treatments and maintain detailed records in ARIA and Epic EMR systems
• Obtain appropriate port films when prescribed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy (higher value used)
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Washington state license required at time of application
• Must have Dosimetry Badge prior to starting assignment (a spare badge can be provided if needed)
• Experience with ARIA and Varian TrueBeam systems
