Registered Nurse – PCU Telemetry

Location: Kearney, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care on a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with telemetry monitoring.
Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed.
May float to ICU for PCU patient status only.
Facility primarily cares for many cardiac patients.
21-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
Weekend shifts required every other weekend, if needed.
Up to 2 extra mandatory shifts every 6 weeks.
Post-Cath Lab patient care experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or multi-state compact license.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC).
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC).
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
Experience in PCU/Telemetry nursing required.

Additional Information

This is a traveler-friendly facility.
Must be able to float between PCU, Med Surg, and ICU (for PCU patients only).
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
