Registered Nurse - Nights (Hospice)

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide patient care across various settings including residential homes, assisted and skilled facilities, hospitals, and hospice care centers throughout Mesa County.
  • Manage symptom control and urgent visit needs during after-hours.
  • Attend to after-hour patient deaths across all hospice service lines.
  • Quickly assess patient and family situations to determine appropriate interventions.
  • Communicate clearly and specifically with different audiences.
  • Work remotely from home between patient visits.
  • Schedule consists of 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours long (7pm to 7am), rotating nights with shifts known 6 weeks in advance.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
  • Minimum of 2 years of Hospice Palliative Care RN experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
