Job Summary
Seeking a Cardiovascular Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for a backfill travel contract in the Operating Room (OR)/Surgery unit. The position involves cardiovascular surgical procedures with on-call responsibilities.
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- On-call: One weeknight per week and one weekend per month on call rotation
Unit Information
- Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Typical Procedures:
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
- Aortic/Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement
- AAA Endovascular & Open Repair
- AV Fistula creation/revision/thrombectomy
- HDC, CAPD, BBT
- TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip
- Equipment Used:
- Surgical instruments
- Bovie cautery
- EVH video tower
- Laparoscopic video tower
- Surgical tourniquet
- IABP console
- Impella console
- Cryo system
- Patient warming/cooling system
- EMR System: Meditech
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 on night shift
Required Qualifications
- Certification:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Cardiovascular Surgical Technology (CST) specialty
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

- Cardiovascular OR CST experience is mandatory
