Travel RN Opportunity – Pulmonary Telemetry Unit

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Unit: Pulmonary Telemetry (36-bed telemetry unit)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend, holidays as required
• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• Clinical Setting: Patient-facing, clinical role
• EMR System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
• Parking: Available

Unit Description

• Focus on diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders
• Collaborative work environment with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy
• Requires expertise in respiratory skills and a foundation in general medicine

Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licenses: Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR certification
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience preferred
  • Will consider 18 months experience under highest professional license
  • At least 1 year experience in pulmonary specialty

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (3 months)
