Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work on a 32-bed General Surgical Unit specializing in postoperative care.
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6.
Responsibilities include pain management, mobility assistance, bedside procedures, and providing a comfortable healing environment tailored to individual patient needs.
Collaborate closely with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
Schedule options: 36 or 48 hours per week.
Work every other weekend and holidays as required.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg Telemetry specialty within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS certification

Additional Information

This is a patient-facing clinical position.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
Dress code: Solid navy scrub colors.
Parking is available.
Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals.
