Location: Joplin, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
Weekend Hours: Typically every other weekend, as required by facility
Call Requirements: As required by facility
Unit Information
- Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Level III
- Number of Beds: 16
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:2 or 1:3 (estimates, not guaranteed)
- Equipment: Primarily GE equipment
- EMR System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level III or higher NICU, including neonatal intensive care within the last year
- At least 2 years of experience with bubble CPAP, high flow oxygen therapy, and high-risk deliveries
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- NIHSS certification (preferred)
- Good team player with optimism, kindness, and initiative
Additional Information
- Float Requirements: May be required to float to mother/baby and pediatrics units
- Dress Code: Black scrubs only; no t-shirts with writing except approved attire
- Personality Fit: Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and proactive approach
