Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room
Location: Syracuse, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12N (Noon) to 7:30 AM
- Rotation: Every Other Week (EOW) & Every Other Holiday (EOH)
- No on-call required
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Epic
- Must be willing to travel at least 75 miles from home (no local contracts)
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – American Heart Association certification required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) certificate required
- Specialty-specific competency testing must be completed within the last year
Licensure & Compliance
- Current RN license verification dated within 30 days of start
- Fit test for respiratory protection (specific to location requirements)
- Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
- Background checks including criminal, employment verification, and various federal/state screenings dated within 30 days of start
- Completion of required professional forms and agreements (e.g., Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Conflict of Interest)
Immunizations & Health Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster) or approved declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- Influenza vaccine proof or approved declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof
- Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to assignment start (titers not accepted)
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Tdap vaccine (or declination if no pediatric interaction)
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon) tuberculosis test
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: RN Emergency Room
