Job Description

• Provide support as an Operating Room Technician under general supervision.
• Work as part of the OR team alongside surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and ancillary staff.
• Primary responsibility is scrubbing for surgical cases.
• Additional duties include handling instruments, supplies, medication, media, specimens, and instrument cases.
• Cardiovascular/open heart surgical experience is required.

Required Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technician.
• Cardiovascular/open heart experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must have the following immunizations and health screenings completed and up to date:

  • MMR
  • Fit Test
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza Vaccine
  • TB Test and Annual TB Questionnaire
  • Varicella
  • Tdap (optional)
• Valid Driver's License or State ID.
• Physical/Health Statement required.
• Professional background checks including criminal background, education verification, employment verification, drug screen, and sex offender registry checks.
• Completion of professional references and resume submission.
• Completion of core competencies, unit exam, and skills checklist as part of onboarding.

Experience

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Specialty experience: Cardiovascular/open heart surgical experience required (years of experience not specified beyond requirement).
