Cardiac Sonographer Position

Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• AM shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Flexibility to add weekend shifts when needed

Required Credentials & Compliance

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for onboarding. Acceptable certifications include AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military. Preference for AHA certification.

Licenses

• Professional License Verification: Must provide primary source verification within 30 days of start date and keep updated. MA Conditional Licenses are not accepted.

Personal Health Requirements

• N95 Fit Test: Required within 365 days of start date and updated annually. Must be completed on the specific respirator fit test form. No religious exemptions.
• MMR Vaccination or Immunity: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine, or two MMR vaccines, or proof of immunity via blood test.
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30). No exemptions allowed.
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if there is a break >6 months.
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
• Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred but optional. Record of 3 vaccines or proof of immunity or declination.
• Tdap Vaccine: Preferred, must be within 10 years.
• Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray: Optional if applicable.

Professional Requirements

• Criminal Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days prior to start and updated if >6 month break. Includes international searches if applicable.
• Massachusetts CORI Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start and updated if >6 month break.
• Resume: Required for submission, including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
• References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in the skillset.
• Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for onboarding and assignment extensions.
• Education Verification: Verified through background check company, confirming highest level of education.
• SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check, listing addresses/aliases for past 7 years.
• National Sex Offender Check: Completed within 30 days of start and updated annually.
• Exclusion Checks: Completed within 30 days of start and annually, including OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists.

Additional Health & Compliance

• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required.
• TB Symptom Survey (if Positive PPD): Optional, to confirm no symptoms of TB infection.

Summary

This is a 13-week cardiac sonographer position with a Monday-Friday AM shift schedule and occasional weekend flexibility. Candidates must meet comprehensive credentialing, licensing, health, and background check requirements prior to onboarding. Compliance with vaccination, fit testing, and various professional verifications is mandatory.
