Job Description

• Telemetry background required (ability to read telemetry)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Must maintain short natural nails (no artificial or acrylic nails; nails less than 1/4 inch)
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other nearby sites within 40 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (two vaccines, immunity evidence, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap (valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test, chest X-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit test for respiratory protection (3M 1860 Regular, 1860 Small, or 1870+ masks) updated annually
• Annual physical exam or statement of good health
• 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Color vision test prior to start and every 3 years
• Criminal background check and employment verification as per professional standards

Additional Requirements

• Professional references (minimum two)
• Driver’s license or state ID (must be current and address must match license requirements)
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission, and National Patient Safety Goals training
• Completion of specialty exams and skills checklists updated annually or as required
• Onboarding and pre-hire modules specific to nursing contingent workers

Notes

• No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
• Floating to other units or nearby sites may be necessary
• Nail policy strictly enforced for infection control
