Job Opportunity: RN Women Services Manager

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM


Job Description

  • Registered Nurse Manager for women's services, including Labor, Delivery, Recovery (LDR), mother, and baby care units.
  • Leadership role overseeing clinical and operational aspects of women's services.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP), with at least some experience within the last year.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Experience in managerial roles, preferably within women’s services.
  • Demonstrated experience in women’s health services.

Required Credentials and Documentation

Submission Requirements (Before Assignment)

  • Resume or professional profile.
  • License/certificate verification with primary source verification completed within 30 days prior to assignment start.
  • Driver’s license or state ID (valid, not expired, matching address requirements).
  • At least two professional references.
  • Ascension Profile (professional documentation).

Onboarding Requirements (Must be completed prior to or at start of assignment)

  • Signed assignment agreement (offer letter, initial confirmation, and extension).
  • BLS certification (AHA).
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work (completed within 90 days of start; official transcripts required if verification fails).
  • Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations).
  • Health and immunization documentation including:
    • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted).
    • Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity evidence, or verified history (no declinations accepted).
    • Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
    • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination.
    • Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement.
  • Tuberculosis screening:
    • 2-step PPD or Negative IGRA within required timeframes.
    • If positive, chest X-ray within one year and annual TB questionnaire.
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start; can be completed onsite).
  • Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
  • Criminal background check including Social Security trace, OIG search, National Sex Offender registry, and other required screenings within 90 days of start.
  • Employment verification for the past seven years.
  • Skills checklist for clinical specialty, completed within one year and updated annually.
  • 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually thereafter.

Additional Notes

  • All documentation must be current and comply with specified timelines.
  • No declinations accepted for certain immunizations and certifications as noted.
  • Flu vaccine declinations require mask-wearing during flu season.
  • Background checks and verifications must be updated annually or if there is a break in service longer than 90 days.
  • Fit testing requires specific approved respirator models; PAPR testing is not done onsite.
