Travel RN ICU Job Opportunity

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: 36/48 hours per two-week pay period (may fluctuate)

• Must reside within 100 miles of facility

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years current ICU nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Immunization & Health Requirements

• Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer (if low/equivocal, proof of first dose to start; second dose within 28-30 days)
• Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination
• Influenza vaccine required by December 11 (medical/religious exemption form available)
• Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer (same dosing rules as MMR)
• Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (declinations accepted)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (marijuana/THC excluded)
• QuantiFERON TB blood test within one year prior to start (annual update required)
• Annual physical or physician statement within 1 year prior to start, stating clear to work without restrictions

Professional & Background Requirements

• 2 professional references required (1 charge nurse or higher, 1 supervisor)
• Background check within 30 days prior to start including:

  • 7-year county criminal history
  • Nationwide criminal, SSN trace, sex offender registry, SAM, OIG, EPLS, OFAC checks
  • Education and employment verification (5 years)
  • Driving record
• West Virginia APS/CPS check with 2-4 week turnaround (attestation and documentation required within 48 hours of offer acceptance)

Competency & Skills Verification

• Unit-specific skills checklist within 1 year prior to start, renewed annually
• Competency exam with passing score of 80% or higher within 1 year prior to start
• Core competencies including HIPAA, patient rights, safety, infection control, elder abuse, cultural diversity, advance directives (renewed annually)
• Unit-specific EKG and telemetry exam within 1 year prior to start (actual document required, no completion certificate)
• Signed and dated specialty job description

• Assignment confirmation form must be uploaded within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Candidates should not be submitted to more than one job at a time

This position requires a highly qualified ICU RN with current certifications and immunizations, strong clinical skills, and compliance with thorough background and competency checks.
