Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown Unit (Days)

Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

• Care for patients with STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule out, congestive heart failure (CHF)
• Noninvasive ventilation support
• Cardiothoracic surgery post-ICU care
• Administration of antiarrhythmic IV medications
• Management of peripheral vascular compromise
• 33-bed cardiovascular care unit
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Stepdown Unit (SDU) nursing experience
• Ability to float to Medical/Surgical or Emergency Room to cover Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVCU) and Med/Surg holds
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Flexibility required; no block scheduling
• Current certifications relevant to cardiovascular/critical care nursing preferred (applicants without may still be considered)

Additional Information

• Orientation for nursing travelers starts on Thursdays
• On-call pay provided with minimum hour requirements
• Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered with adjusted placement terms
• Non-compete policy: Former direct employees are ineligible for agency placement until 6 months after direct employment ends

Experience Requirements

• Specialty experience: At least 2 years in Stepdown Unit nursing
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
