Job Description

• Shifts: 3x12 or 4x12's, Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
• On-Call: May be placed on-call, 1, 12-hour shift per pay period if census drops.
• Patient Care: All units may handle COVID patients.
• Staffing Ratio: 1 to 4/5 days, 1 to 5/6 on nights.
• Unit Details: 28 beds in a PCU/Telemetry hybrid unit, including a 20-bed Telemetry level of care unit and an 8-bed Intermediate Care Unit. Primary patient population includes heart failure, chest pain rule out, post-cath with and without PCI, and post pacemaker/defibrillator implant.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:

  • Telemetry experience
  • Intermediate Care experience
  • Cardiac experience
  • Epic experience (preferred)
  • Travel experience (preferred)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required within 6 months of start.
• Health Requirements:

  • Tdap vaccine required within 10 years (no exemptions accepted).
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (no exemptions accepted).
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start.
  • Drug screening required within 90 days of start.

Additional Information

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Floating: May float to appropriate units as needed.
• Documentation: Must include RTO (Request Time Off) in submittal to be honored at the time of offer.
