Job Description

• Unit: Urology Unit
• Experience Required: 1 - 2 years, with strong proficiency in high acuity care.
• Patient Ratios: 1:6 or 1:7
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week available.
• Orientation: Every other Monday; contracts end on a Tuesday.
• New Travelers: Welcome to apply.
• Additional Skills: Proficiency with Insulin and Heparin drips is a must; Peritoneal Dialysis experience is a plus.

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
  • NIH Stroke Certification Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) preferred
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
  • HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement required

• Licensure:

  • Must have an active and in good standing compact or Alabama RN license.
  • State License Verification required.
  • NURSYS Verification required.

• Health Documents:

  • COVID-19 Vaccination required unless a documented exemption is provided.
  • Flu shot required or documented exemption.
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray required within the last year.
  • Drug testing required (10 panel).
  • Fit Mask test required.

• Background Check:

  • 7-year criminal check required.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM checks required.

• References:

  • Proof of 2 clinical references required.

Additional Information

• Compliance Deadline: All documentation must be submitted one week prior to the start date.
• Scrub Colors: Navy or Navy pants with a white top.
• Block Booking: Available except on holidays; every other weekend required.
