Overview
- Role: Labor and Delivery RN-Charge Nurse
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska

- Shift: Nights, 4x12 hours or 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 48
- Unit: High Risk L&D unit with OB Triage/Testing and L&D/Antepartum
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in Charge roles
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Charge experience preferred or willing to train as charge
Additional Details
- First timers accepted: Yes
- On-call: No
- Block scheduling: No
- Local candidates accepted: No; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending license accepted: Yes, but license must be in hand for Auto Offer
- RTO is reviewed individually upon offer and must be included in submission
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with possible call-off of 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
- Unit details: 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
- Average daily deliveries: around 7, with up to 14 patients at times
