Requirements

• Licensure: Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience: 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or RQI
• Certifications required as applicable per unit: ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC
• Competencies: Competency exam; medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Skills checklist: Required annually

Onboarding Requirements

• Preorientation modules: Must be completed within 72 hours of receiving the login (3 to 9 hours total). The candidate is not cleared until they are complete.
• Background checks: Criminal background check within 1 year of start; EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year of start
• Minnesota DHS fingerprint clearance: Required for all candidates. The candidate must complete the DHS NetStudy questionnaire immediately after signing and cannot start with fingerprints pending unless a qualifying clearance letter or exemption applies.
• Physical exam: Within 12 months prior to start
• Drug screen: 9-panel or instant test within 1 year of start
• TB test: Negative test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
• Immunizations: Tdap (given after age 11), measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation (titers or vaccines), with specific rules for negative titers
• RespSafety clearance: Required before start for the facility fit test
• Badge photo: Passport-style headshot on file within 48 hours of signing
