Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Castro Valley, California
• Evening shift: 4x10 hours, 13:00–23:30
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• On call: as needed
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• 1 year or more of total travel experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Role Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and coordinates nursing care for surgical patients
• Provides specialized care and treatment
• Directs and supervises ancillary nursing personnel
• Collaborates with the health team
• Scrubs or circulates surgical cases
• Maintains AORN standards of professional nursing practice

• Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances
• Handles emergency or crisis situations
• Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
