PICU

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Columbia, Missouri.
• General Pediatric ICU.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• 36 hours per week.
• Blocked schedule available Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon.
• First-time travelers are OK.
• No locals within 50 miles.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• TNCC is appreciated but not required.

Work Expectations

• Schedule will fit the needs of the unit.
• Rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and work during inclement weather may be required.
• Must be able to take call.
• Must be able to work assigned weekends.
• Must be able to work at least 50 percent of holidays during the contract.
• Must be able to work at the assigned work location throughout the full term of the contract.
• Must be able to work the substantial time of the assigned shift.

Physical Demands

• Very active role requiring ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
