CVICU Registered Nurse

Location

  • Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Travel/contract role
  • No locals within 100 miles

Schedule

  • Night shift, 3x12 hours
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend coverage as needed
  • Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles
  • Block scheduling is not guaranteed
  • On-call not required

Contract

  • 18 weeks
  • New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • CVICU (2 years of experience)
  • CVICU experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License

Preferred Experience

  • CVICU experience preferred

Clinical Expectations

  • May float within scope to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED, and PACU
  • Experience with post-op open hearts, bedside tach/peg, bedside surgical procedures, CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, Swan-Ganz monitoring, arterial lines, CVCs, chest tubes, Foley insertion, and NG tubes

Additional Notes

  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Greater than 7 days of requested time off requires approval
  • COVID vaccination is optional
  • Cerner familiarity may be used for an optional test-out during orientation
