Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Topeka, Kansas
13-week contract
Day shift: 4x12 hours, 6:00–18:00
36 or 48 hour option
Unit accepts first-time travelers
Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

Unit / Clinical Setting

High Risk Labor & Delivery Unit
Includes OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery
Cares for laboring patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes
Provides care for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
Performs C-Sections and External Cephalic Versions

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Labor and Delivery experience with 1 year of experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
FHM
7-year background check
Education verification confirming highest level of education
Clear headshot for badge
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit test within 1 year of start
Negative TB screening or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
TB questionnaire within 90 days of start for positive TB results
Tdap within 10 years of start
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
Complete application/resume
