Labor and Delivery RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Topeka, Kansas
- 13-week contract
- Day shift: 4x12 hours, 6:00–18:00
- 36 or 48 hour option
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
Unit / Clinical Setting
- High Risk Labor & Delivery Unit
- Includes OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery
- Cares for laboring patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes
- Provides care for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
- Performs C-Sections and External Cephalic Versions
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kansas
- Labor and Delivery experience with 1 year of experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- FHM
- 7-year background check
- Education verification confirming highest level of education
- Clear headshot for badge
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire within 90 days of start for positive TB results
- Tdap within 10 years of start
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- Complete application/resume
- 7-year work history verification
- Unit-specific skills checklist
- Drivers License/State ID
