Registered Nurse — Orthopedic/Trauma

Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Greensboro, North Carolina
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• One holiday and one evening shift during the holiday period required
• No call

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Orthopedics (2 years of experience)
• Orthopedics experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification

Clinical Focus

• Pre-op and post-op orthopedic patients
• Elective and trauma patients
• Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs
• Ortho trauma
• Use of rapid response teams

Work Environment

• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6, with possible stretch to 7
• Safe patient handling equipment available
• Ortho equipment includes CPM, knee immobilizer, bone foam, and others

• Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of strict attendance expectations
• Compliance must be completed by 12 noon EST on the Wednesday before the start date
• Candidate must be aware of the required pass/fail EKG exam
