Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job

Overview

Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
Hours per week: 48
Unit: Mixed acuity adult oncology unit with med-surg overflow; travelers may float frequently and are first to float

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Oncology experience
Experience with Epic

Preferred

ACLS
Chemo

Work Expectations

Must be prepared to float within scope to multiple units, including potentially the Bellevue campus
May care for up to five med-surg patients
Drips are required on all floors
Travelers do not administer chemo
Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period
Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
Up to 2 weeks of requested time off is permitted, submitted with the application

Additional Requirements

Must live more than 100 miles from the facility
100% nicotine-free facility
Scrubs are mandatory and must be Steele gray with the facility logo
Government-issued photo ID required
2 references from work within the past 2 years
Annual skills checklist required

Tdap/Tetanus within the last 10 years
TB screening or chest x-ray documentation
MMR immunity or vaccination
Hepatitis B titer
Varicella immunity or vaccination
Drug screen
