Overview
- Travel/contract role in Columbus, Ohio
- 16-week assignment
- Day/night only; 3x12 schedule
- 36 hours per week
Unit Details
- Mixed acuity PCU/MS Tele unit caring for medical oncology patients
- About 24 PCU beds and 24 MS Tele beds
- High-acuity patient population
- Pediatric patients are extremely rare and would likely be cared for by permanent staff
- Staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5, but may vary based on unit needs
- Weekend shifts are variable
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
- Oncology experience
- Must be able to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel experience is preferred, not required
Clinical Focus
- Variety of diagnoses from solid tumors to some blood cancers
- Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

- B450 monitors GE telemetry system
- Bladder scanner
- Alaris pumps
- Continuous bladder irrigation
- PCA pumps
