Medical Surgical RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Columbia, Missouri
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 48 hours per week
• Medical Specialties unit with a 57-bed maximum capacity
• Unit includes video monitoring capability, sitter rooms, ceiling lifts, and bariatric rooms
• Charge nurse and supervisor are on every shift

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg (1.5 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Must float to MS and MS/Tele
• No locals within 50 miles
• Will accept first-time travelers

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI
• 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience

Additional Job Details

• Average staffing ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights, with occasional increases to 6 on days and 7 on nights
• Work 50% of holidays that fall within the contract
• RTO is not granted for holidays, but scheduling will be worked out to meet the 50% holiday requirement
• Rotating shifts, weekends, call, and work during inclement weather are required
