Overview

• Travel/contract role in Redlands, California
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Fast-paced ER at a community hospital
• 24 hours orientation
• Minimum weekend coverage: every other weekend
• No locals within 50 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• MAB - Management of Assaultive Behavior
• NIHSS
• Experience working with Adult or Pediatric patients
• Experience with central line management
• IV insertion skills
• Experience with conscious or moderate sedation
• Experience with arterial lines
• Experience with ventilator management
• Ability to perform patient triage
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP

Preferred

• History of extended assignments
• Preferred skills/experience: Stroke Certified Facility; Arterial line management; Phlebotomy; Procedural Sedation Administration; ICP monitoring; Neuro-trauma; Spinal cord injusty; Traumatic brain injury; Ortho-trauma; Head injury; Near drowning; Spinal Cord Injury; Interpretation of ABGs; Gunshot Wounds; Traumatic amputations
