Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: La Jolla, California

Shift: Evening (5 days/week, 8 hours/day, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Call required: possible rotation with core staff approximately 3 days per month
• Required skills include Ports, Fluoro, and C-Arms operation (per skills checklist)
• Interview availability is mandatory

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in California
• Radiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and ARRT certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI)
• Fluoroscopy certification required
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Physical exam within 12 months of start date
• Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) or chest X-ray within 12 months
• Tdap vaccination (no declinations accepted)
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella immunity via vaccination or titer with boosters as needed (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or signed declination
• 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start date
• COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption on file
• Flu vaccination or agency flu declination required year-round (with documentation)
• N95 fit test within 1 year of start date (specific approved mask models required)
• Completion of facility-specific learning modules (approx. 8 hours) prior to start
• Completion of facility-specific job description form prior to start
• Standards of Conduct and Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure agreements signed prior to start (annual renewal required)
• Two satisfactory professional references
• Employment application required and must be current for assignment audits
• Skills checklist required

Additional Notes

• No scrub color requirement; OR and Labor & Delivery scrubs provided by facility
• Experience with EPIC or Cerner electronic medical records system preferred; less than 6 months experience may result in cancellation for RNs (note for recruiters)
• Radiation badges supplied only if working in Interventional Radiology or units requiring badge; not required for this role
• Pyxis acknowledgment required for RNs and Respiratory Care Practitioners, not applicable here
